Chapter 10: Where to do it is the question

I go out into the yard and talk to them.

“I’ll try to imagine the house spread out in the center for now."

To make it easier to understand the size of the house, I imagined a square. Then, with a "giggle, giggle" feeling, the wards began to expand, flashing.

"Oh, wow!”

“Wow!”

“The trees in the forest ...... disappeared?"

Along with the land that had expanded all at once, all the trees in the area had disappeared.

“I'm sorry, but could you please try to measure your steps, please be careful of your surroundings."

I asked them to measure it and found that it was generally a square 40m x 40m. The height remains the same as before, 10 meters.

Incidentally, by imagining that I was putting it back together, the warding was restored, and the trees that had disappeared were also restored.

“Assuming the previous site was a 20-meter square, this time it was doubled to a 40-meter square.”

“I see, let's try a circle for a minute."

This time, I tried to extend the circle, but the diameter was 40 meters, the same as the square.

“It seems to be based simply on length and width.”

“Good job,  Sasamiya-san!”

 Sasamiya-san was a little embarrassed when I said that.

“Then, by far, the square is the best deal.”

If the length of one side is the standard, then it would be better to have a slightly larger site.

“Yes, that's true. And the lot looks like it could be used effectively.”

There were other things that turned out to be true as well.

.The minimum width of the site to be expanded is 10 meters, and it cannot be narrower than that.

.It is possible to bend the site at right angles in the middle of the site, but it is not possible to bend the site in a sinuous manner or make it too complicated.

.The height of the boundary is fixed at 10 meters, regardless of the width or shape of the site.

“Are you sure about the square?"

And after finishing the verification for a while, I was asked. I thought the same thing at first, but before that, there's one thing I'd like to try.

"No, I’ll make the width of the barrier as narrow as possible. I'll try to see if I can connect it to a nearby river."

"Securing a water source? It seems like my magic can handle it."

Although it is a prerequisite if the site reaches the river, I think it would be better for the future. It would give us a little more scope for our activities and, above all, it would be a good thing to have a farm in the future.

"The problem of where to go to the bathroom."

Yesterday and this morning, the toilet in my house wouldn't flush, so I had no choice but to hide behind the storeroom in the garden and do it.

I had dug a hole and buried it, but there was sanitation and people's eyes. I would like to connect it to the river somehow, and make it as clean as possible, without any concern.
