1. Incident Overview
On the Day of Dia, May 2, 2026 of the Dragon King Calendar:
During the Magias Academy of Magical Arts Freshman Tournament, a large-scale attack on the Magias grounds was carried out by Wilhelm Braham, a former student of the Grand Magical Emperor Faculty.
The attack began during the first match of the tournament’s opening round. It ended thirty-five minutes later when Magias personnel subdued the mastermind, Wilhelm.
This incident shall hereafter be designated the “Magias Freshman Tournament Attack.” Details concerning the course of events from commencement to conclusion, together with all facts established as of this writing, are recorded below.
2. Course and Conclusion of the Incident
During the incident, the perpetrator unlawfully seized control of the protective barrier, an official Magias spell system, while simultaneously executing a plan of mass destruction involving the demolition of the central tower and the deployment of a large number of military magic beasts.
As a result, the defensive mechanisms within the Magias grounds were temporarily disabled.
Furthermore, magical-control interference affected high-output mages, principally faculty members, security personnel, and senior Magias students. This rendered the transmission of commands throughout the grounds extremely difficult.
Evacuation guidance and defensive command were initially thrown into severe confusion. However, the situation improved considerably after provisional response teams centered on first-year Grand Magical Emperor Faculty students began operating throughout the grounds.
Their wide-area telepathic evacuation guidance, emergency restoration of the protective barrier’s core formula, emergency reinforcement of the central tower’s structural sections, and assistance in tracking and subduing hostile targets were especially extraordinary for first-year students. These actions clearly exceeded the scope of duties ordinarily expected of students.
Wilhelm Braham was ultimately subdued by Brendan Walker. After Instructor Blanchard applied sealing restraints, he was transferred into the custody of the Kingdom Military Police.
3. Details and Present Status of the Perpetrator
Subject: Wilhelm Braham.
The subject is a former student of the Grand Magical Emperor Faculty at Magias Academy of Magical Arts, where he specialized in barrier magic. His magical coefficient upon enrollment was 120 points (precision examination).
He previously participated in inspection work involving the protective barrier and is believed to possess extensive knowledge and technical skill in the field.
The subject has now been transferred under sealing restraint by the Kingdom Military Police to a special detention facility. Interrogation remains ongoing.
The House of Braham completely denies any involvement in the present incident.
4. Demolition of the Central Tower and Unlawful Seizure of the Protective Barrier
The current investigation into the demolition of the central tower has established that flammable magical fuel was distributed throughout portions of disused old piping.
The old pipes in question occupied sections no longer used in the tower’s current operations and were consequently prone to exclusion from routine inspections.
Evidence further indicates that the fuel and related spell formulas were protected against degradation by the protective barrier.
It is therefore highly probable that the demolition preparations remained concealed for several months. The subject has acknowledged this in his statement.
Records concerning the protective barrier confirm that four years ago, Wilhelm Braham participated as a temporary inspection worker in an examination of the area surrounding its core formula.
Investigators presently believe the perpetrator secretly altered a portion of the formula during that work, then activated the alteration remotely or through a timer on the day of the incident.
The full extent of the tampering has not yet been determined.
The core formula of the Holy Formation Barrier created by “Grand Mage Lorelei,” a former principal of Magias, remains poorly understood even by modern magical science. The method by which Wilhelm rewrote its chain of command is unknown. It may be said that only an individual once hailed as a prodigy in barrier magic could have carried out such an operation.
Specialist mages continue to reanalyze the system.
5. Distribution Route of Military Magic Beasts and the Transfer Gates
On the day of the incident, a large number of military magic beasts were transferred into the Magias grounds.
A portion of these beasts has been confirmed as diverted goods that passed through illegal guilds.
However, every distribution route identified to date terminates at a low-level organization. Investigators have not yet identified the supplier operating behind them.
It has also been established that the formula used by the transfer gates that brought the magic beasts into Magias was not the work of an individual.
Given the scale, precision, and activation period of the gates, serious doubts remain that a lone perpetrator could have executed the operation.
The Kingdom Military Police and Royal Court of Justice are investigating on the strong suspicion that a large external criminal organization participated in distributing the military magic beasts and arranging the transfer gates.
6. Human Casualties
No deaths have been confirmed in connection with this incident.
Four persons suffered serious injuries.
All are presently either in stable condition or recovering.
Multiple minor injuries were also confirmed, resulting from falls during the evacuation, magic-beast attacks, fragments of rubble, and the aftereffects of explosions.
Most persons with minor injuries received treatment at affiliated medical facilities in the royal capital or the Magias medical wing and returned home in stages.
Factors preventing loss of life included wide-area evacuation guidance during the initial response, defensive action by faculty and security personnel, and the division of response duties among first-year Emperor Faculty students.
7. Status of the Principal Perpetrator’s Statement
Wilhelm Braham is presently confined within the Kingdom Military Police Special Detention Facility.
During ordinary questioning, he has repeatedly remained silent, attempted to justify himself, or given provocative answers. Useful testimony obtained as of this writing remains limited.

Note: Due to concern regarding psychological agitation caused by the respondent’s prolonged confinement, the interrogator applied a low-depth mental-stabilization formula.
Interrogator: When did you place the explosives used to destroy the central tower?
Wilhelm: Three months before I was advised to withdraw from the academy. I acted impulsively, and it ultimately became the starting point of this attack.
Interrogator: Where did you obtain the military magic beasts?
Wilhelm: I purchased them from a man named Oswald. They were being illegally bred in a regional city to the north.
Interrogator: How did you transfer the magic beasts onto the Magias grounds?
Wilhelm: I don’t know the detailed mechanism of the transfer. Whether the magic was performed by a person or generated by a magical device was kept from me until the end.
Interrogator: By whom?
Wilhelm: Oswald.
Interrogator: Was Oswald an accomplice? When did you make contact?
Wilhelm: Oswald m-made con—l-last year, h-he suddenly approached m-me, cont—ah.
Interrogator: Are you familiar with an organization called Bright Society Arcadia?
Wilhelm: D-Don’t—d-d-d-d-d-d-d—dare speak th-that name in front of m-me.
Interrogator: Are you familiar with an organization called Bright Society Arcadia?
Wilhelm: No. I wasn’t used. Th-Th-Th-This wasn’t supposed to—agh. To begin with, I was going to operate the transfer-gate control terminal d-directly my-my-my-my-my-my—
Note: The respondent abruptly entered a state of delirium. Questioning was temporarily suspended because it had become impossible to continue. It appears that some form of spell had been placed upon him to prevent information disclosure.

8. Summary
This incident exposed serious deficiencies in the defensive arrangements of Magias Academy of Magical Arts and the security of its public events.
Nevertheless, provisional response efforts centered on first-year Grand Magical Emperor Faculty students remained functional amid the confusion immediately following the attack. As a result, the collapse of the central tower, complete loss of the protective barrier, and mass civilian casualties were all prevented.
Going forward, authorities will continue a complete inspection of every protective-barrier function, renewed investigation of old equipment sections, a comprehensive review of authority records retained by withdrawn and expelled students, and investigation into the distribution routes of military magic beasts.
9. Supplemental Information
Analysis of the residual traces left by the transfer-gate formula indicates an extremely high probability that it was an extended function of Infinite Proliferation: Great Dragon Vein Online, which has been missing for many years.
No evidence that Fire Arrow (Ilvion) was used during this incident has been confirmed at present.
Accordingly, the precise whereabouts of these two Great Treasures remain unknown.
