Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 64: Unspoken Kindness?

“Alright, let’s go.”

About two hours after the fierce battle festival ended, although the sun had already set, the capital city was still buzzing with excitement from the event.

Amidst this, Ishud and the others visited a certain venue to attend a party to commend the students who participated in the intense festival.

Ishud asked Byron if it was okay for him to attend despite only participating in the special match, but that had already been taken care of by the headmaster of Flaveld Academy.

“Seriously, you decided to come, Ishud?”

“Well, there’s gonna be some delicious food, right? So, of course, I wanna eat.”

Philip chuckled at Ishud’s typical reasoning but nodded in agreement.

Everyone put on their best attire and entered the venue.

““““““Wha…!?”””’’”

As expected, the gazes of the students who had entered earlier and were chatting with acquaintances and friends all shifted towards Ishud and the others… more precisely, towards Ishud.

“You’re quite popular.”

“If they all intend to pick a fight with me, I guess you could say that.”

As Ishud looked around with a daring smile, most of the people quickly averted their eyes.

During the special match, Ishud hadn’t used any enhancement-type skills and had only sporadically used magic. Moreover… what he used was just ordinary magic.

Ishud hadn’t even used the magic inherent to his third job, the Transcendent Berserker.

“Ishud, don’t tease them too much.”

“I know, President-senpai. By the way, you look seriously beautiful.”

Her golden hair was beautifully tied up, and her face was lightly made up, bringing out a beauty beyond her usual appearance.

The dress, mainly in shades of aqua, had a design that greedily sought both delicacy and beauty… Even the male students who were intimidated by the fusion of the demon and devil in Ishud stole glances at the goddess who entered the room, unable to help themselves.

“Thank you, Ishud.”

“Ishud!!! Don’t you dare look at Sister Christille in a weird way!!!”

“I just complimented her on her beauty. Compared to that, you… well, you look a bit disappointing.”

“What!!!???”

Like Christille, Michela’s golden hair was not styled in its usual vertical rolls but was beautifully tied up for the party. Her dress, predominantly in red tones, was slightly daring.

While she also garnered the attention of many male students in the venue, Ishud’s reaction left her feeling a bit puzzled.

“W-w-w-what do you mean by that? Can you explain it properly?”

Admiring Christille, whom she deeply respects, wearing a dress in aqua, Michela opted for a completely different red-themed dress.

Having previously attended parties wearing dresses with red as the main color, she felt confident in this attire.

However, the man in front of her described it as a bit disappointing.

“Well, you know… Hey, Philip. You kinda get what I’m thinking, right?”

“Hmm? Hmm… Ah, I see. Yeah, I understand now. It certainly changes things.”

“What!!! Philip… You too, have the same opinion?”

“Yeah, that’s right.”

“What!!!!”

Philip replied without hesitation.

Both of them were thinking the same thing.

She’s beautiful, no doubt about it… But she kind of gives off the vibe of those stunning ladies you see at night, you know?

Christille also has ample proportions, but Michela… she’s a step ahead… no, two steps ahead, with her divine proportions.

To avoid overlapping with Christille’s dress design, Michela’s dress leaned slightly more towards beauty… and sexiness.

Although not being able to voice such thoughts is a gentlemanly attitude in a good sense, it ultimately leads to the conclusion that it would have been better to just say something flattering.

If that had been done… Michela’s face wouldn’t have turned as red as an erupting volcano.

“I-I think Michela-san looks very beautiful in her dress too!!!”

“….Well, that’s nice. I’ll just have to slice you later.”

Gulf, being a commoner, felt obliged to consider Michela’s feelings.

He thought it would be embarrassing to explode in anger here, so he suppressed the magma that was about to burst out.

“…You two are really too honest.”

“I think being straightforward is wonderful.”

Christille sighed softly, still marveling at how eloquent (and rationalizing) they were.

“Truly, can’t you behave a little more like a proper son?”

“Well, you see, Intellectual Glasses-senpai, back at home, I mostly received praise for the weapons, armor, and muscles I had, rather than things like that.”

“Hmm… I still can’t quite accept that, but…”

Nels Assam, the student council member who gave up being called Intellectual Glasses-senpai.

Since he also participated in the Fierce Battle Festival, he entered the venue with Ishud and the others.

“Now then, Gulf! Let’s eat delicious food until we’re full!!”

“Y-Yeah!!!”

Gulf, who is still not accustomed to the prepared attire, follows his friend and begins to put dishes on his plate.

“…Ishud, how about letting Gulf have a little freedom?”

“Hmm? What’s up with that??”

Ishud tilts his head while chewing on a meat dish.

“It’s an opportunity for Gulf to make connections, you see.”

“…Ah, I see. I get what you’re saying, you big-ass idiot.”

“Hey! Could you please stop calling me that already?”

“But you know, in the end, none of us really change at our core, huh?”

Ignoring the reactions, he continues his argument.

“Even though they know they can’t beat me, they still think I’m just a barbarian from the frontier who tries to escape into nonsense like ‘strength alone is meaningless’. It’s the same with Gulf. Even though he finished below the third round, they still think they’re noblemen and refuse to let go of their ridiculous pride, saying they won’t lose to commoners no matter what.”

“Wha…!”

The faces hit the nail on the head and tremble.

“You know, you’re being a bit too blunt. You didn’t actually encounter them talking like that, did you?”

“Are you trying to pick a fight? I was in the audience, so I know well enough. I know what those idiots were thinking… It might be because of their environment, but there’s no need for Gulf to get involved with those idiots who won’t change at their core.”

He selfishly, selfishly speaks words that might be considered selfish, but ultimately hit the mark.
