Synopsis:

During a high school class, Yu and all of his classmates were suddenly transported to another world and ordered by a god to defeat the Demon King.

Together with his close friends, Yu set out on the journey to slay the Demon King.

But that was ten years ago. During the journey, Yu lost heart and gave up. He became an alchemist and worked in a town in that other world, living peacefully alongside his companions and others like Ayaka who had also dropped out of the quest, collectively known as the “Dropout Group.”

Then one day, an announcement came from the god:

“The Hero has defeated the Demon King.”

Immediately afterward, they were forcibly sent back to Japan.

However, their homeland had changed beyond recognition due to a demonic invasion.

The beings walking through the city Yu arrived in were not humans, but monsters capable of understanding and speaking human language.

Apparently, during the ten years they had been absent, Earth had been invaded by demons and had become a battlefield in the middle of a war between humanity and the demons.

But those who failed to become heroes had no intention of suddenly throwing themselves into a war now.

Determined to avoid involvement in the conflict as much as possible and to continue living peacefully as they had before, Yu and his companions begin a journey toward Tokyo, the city where they were born and raised.

No matter how much power one possesses, not everyone can become a hero.

This is the story of those who could not become heroes as they search for a peaceful life and happiness in their own way.
