Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 35: Silver Equilateral Triangle

“I-I…!”

“Shut up and die!”

I sweep away the approaching hydra’s tail and step into the monster’s range.

Just as the monster’s foreleg swings down to crush me, Rolo’s chains bind and halt it.

Simultaneously, a red bolt of lightning flashes past me, searing through the monster’s belly.

Saran, always using his damn magic in such a gruesome way.

I wonder what he’d do if he accidentally hit me… But since it’s never happened, I can’t complain.

Well, as an assist, it’s not bad.

“Rolo Mercia! Saran! Don’t interfere with me! I…!”

The screaming Albert-faced monster looks at me, its face contorted in fear.

Ah, the gods of the other world are indeed idiots.

They make such a pathetic creature their vessel and try to destroy the world. What a blunder.

Because of putting up with such an idiot, they’ve earned my wrath.

Because of this scum, the culling will fail.

I let the overflowing power from deep within my body envelop me.

Ah, I see. This is how to use this “power.”

The jet-black war hammer whispers to me.

— “Destroy.”

This is an extraordinary power.

Similar to the gods of the other world, it’s something from a place beyond this world.

From there, forcibly drawing out and wielding energy.

Even though my mind is dull, I instinctively understand.

I see.

So that’s what those so-called gods are.

Not very likable beings, are they?

“Hmph!”

I swing the war hammer at the monster.

The sensation of hitting flesh, crushing bones, rupturing organs… I understand the sensation of “breaking” everything as if I’m holding it in my hand.

And something more fundamental.

“Jurg! You…!”

Albert aims a desperate blow at me.

I leap to evade it.

“Don’t pretend to be human anymore, you monster!”

“You’re the same!”

For a creature with a lacking head like Albert, it’s surprisingly cunning.

In that sense, we’re the same. You and I.

Merely vessels for wielding “divine power.”

In other words, nothing more than forms of “culling.”

However, there’s a decisive difference between me and that thing.

In other words, I am overwhelmingly stronger!

“Here I go!”

With a short battle cry, I lift the war hammer with all my might and charge.

“Die…! Die, die, dieeeee!”

The monster goes half-mad, trembling.

However, I charge in, imbuing my weapon with power.

Your flames, your destructive light, your sharp claws… Everything, it’s all futile.

Did you forget? Our comrades are strong.

“I won’t let you!”

The veil of magic released by Rolo extinguishes the flames.

“That’s enough of your nonsense. Stop it.”

Saran’s counter-magic negates the destructive light.

“I believe in you, Jurg…!”

Fimia’s multiple layers of protective magic intercept the claws, the serpent’s fangs.

“No… Help!”

“No. Die.”

I swing the jet-black war hammer directly at it.

The impact and shockwave blow the monster’s body into smithereens, scattering silver liquid onto the trees.

Literally, I’ve struck at its core.

It will never regenerate.

“Ah… ugh…”

Albert’s head, swung from above, rolls away.

Stubborn even at a time like this.

At least, it would have been happier to die at this moment.

“I… I just…!”

“That’s enough, Albert. It’s over.”

The head of Albert begins to solidify into silver.

Even though I know it’s a fake, it’s not a pleasant feeling.

“Well then, leader. Let’s go on another adventure.”

I swing the war hammer down, smashing what was once Albert’s head.

It must be destroyed. This is the vessel of the “Silver Equilateral Triangle,” the god of the other world.

“Is it over…?”

I shake my head at Rolo’s words.

“No, not yet. But it’s almost over.”

As soon as my words finish, the scattered silver liquid in the forest begins to gather, the fragments converging into one shape, forming a geometric pattern like a puzzle.

“Rolo, Saran. Don’t just stand there watching. You might get drawn in.”

“I’d rather not, if I may.”

“Me neither.”

With a wry smile at the obediently turned backs of the two, I reach out my hand to Fimia.

“I need your help.”

“Mine?”

“Yeah. Dealing with this thing requires more than just me.”

Making metallic clinks as it stands quietly, it’s an extremely strange object.

No matter which direction you look at it from, you can only see its front… It’s eerie.

… “Silver Equilateral Triangle.”

Something inherently incompatible with us, yet seeking people.

An inconvenient and lonely conglomerate of “power.”

“I want to destroy it, but it’s beyond our control to do so.”

“What should we do?”

“There’s something I’d like to try. I need your cooperation.”

After saying that, I made a “proposal”.

Intuitively, I thought it was possible.

For me, who was essentially “culled out”.

“…That’s absurd.”

Fimia gave a small nod, even though she had a sour face.

I nodded in return, and then I swung the jet-black war hammer with all the power I could muster.
