Just another Isekai Lover~

Volume 2: The Skill Verification Leads to an Explosive Premonition

Chapter 11. Let’s Figure out how to repeatedly spend 1,000 yen while doing laundry

I soak a hand towel in hot water and wipe my entire body. I need to think about this, but I feel like what I’ve realized is somehow too big. Honestly, I’m scared to think about it too deeply.

Now that I’ve wiped my body clean, I feel refreshed. I don’t want to put on the panties I just took off on my fresh body. I could turn them inside out and wear them, but I want a clean pair of underwear. I want that as a person.

What’s the cheapest price for buying panties? I once bought disposable ones at a 100-yen shop for travel.

When I search for  panties,” with 1000 yen repeat, it came up. Ah, yeah. Those are pants too. Wait, shorts?

I re-search with “shorts,” and…

Just as I remembered, a pack of five disposable shorts bought at a 100-yen shop appears. That’s 22 yen each.

The cheapest non-disposable ones I could find were two pairs for 98 yen at a nearby clothing store. They were on a daily special sale with a limit of one set per person, and they were so cheap I couldn’t resist buying them.

It would be better to buy the ones that cost 49 yen each rather than buying disposable ones.

To test myself, I try putting the item on a shelf a little further away.

Yep, it came out exactly where I wanted it to without any problems.

I tilt my head.

I wonder how far away I can be and still be able to get it.

The cheapest bra is also from the 100-yen shop. I remember buying it when making an emergency bag. It’s a sports bra for 108 yen.

Come to think of it, more proper underwired bras used to be sold at 100 yen stores, but they were around 200 or 300 yen.

Since I have a modest figure, I can easily wear a sports bra, so it’s a good idea to choose this inexpensive item.

Where should I try to put this?

Could I do it in midair?

I look up, consciously thinking about making it appear near the ceiling of the storeroom, and it appears. Now I remember, I could also slightly pour hot water from above earlier. But I didn’t need to concentrate like I did then. I don’t need to concentrate if I want it to come out quickly.

I look at the sports bra that fell down. Oh, it has a hanger.

This is okay because it’s a bra, but if it were something heavy, it would hurt if I was underneath.

Something heavy — like if I bought a whole box of plastic bottles, which would weigh around 12 kg. It depends on the distance I can produce it from, but I think this is useful.

I put on the 49-yen shorts and 108-yen bra I took out, then try on the clothes I had bought.

I bought a long, baggy tunic and loose-fitting pants. Both are brownish; the tunic is darker. I don’t really know what they’re made of. Is it linen?

The waist can be adjusted with a string.

It’s not as itchy as I thought, probably because it’s secondhand and the fibers have softened. The pants were a little long, so I fold up the hem.

I also want to change my socks. Hmm, I remember buying socks for 29 yen at a disc clothing store, so I might as well buy some.

Everything is so cheap in that store. I once bought a glass candle holder there for 10 yen, which probably came from a 100 yen shop or similar. A glass product for 10 yen, even in Japan, it was a shocking price. I should remember this because it might sell.

Since I have lukewarm water, I’ll wash the clothes I’ve been wearing so far. Soap is 99 yen for 3 bars, so each bar costs 33 yen.

Right, Let’s try putting it in the bag. I thought it would come out in the bag I bought, but when I went to buy it, nothing.

Whoa!? Was it canceled? Why?

Thinking back on everything, I was able to put salt and sugar in a plastic bag before.

Maybe because the lid is closed?

I open the bag and buy soap again. This time, it worked.

Is the condition that the place where it is put out must be open? There might be other conditions as well.

Hmm, my current remaining money is 534 yen. I’ll do a little more testing while doing the laundry.

Let’s buy another trash bag. How should I bring it out? Can I put it out unfolded instead?

I did it!

I put the produced trash bag into my bag and pour half of the hot water I used for the foot bath into it.

Then I put the clothes into the remaining hot water and rub them with soap to wash them.

After wringing out the clothes, I rinse them in the water inside the bag, then wring again. After discarding the water, I put the empty 2-liter plastic bottle into an empty trash bag, close the lid, and try to see if I can get 1 yen worth of tap water inside the bottle.

It doesn’t work. It was canceled.

I open the lid and try to buy again, and it worked, but it overflows. Good thing I kept the trash bag.

I close the bottle’s cap. I wonder if I should have bought just 2 liters, so I try to buy exactly that, but it turned out that it’s impossible to buy precisely 2 liters.

I wonder why. I should be able to buy it by the gram. I should be able to buy 2 liters for about 0.26 yen, but maybe I can’t buy anything under 1 yen?

While thinking about this, I rinse the clothes again with the water that came out and wring them out.

I need a string to hang the clothes to dry. String,  I’ll use packing string. 250 meters costs 108 yen. I wish for 1 meter, but I couldn’t buy that either. I can’t buy 2 meters. But It said I could buy 3m for 2 yen.

So that means the decimal point is rounded up?

On the other hand, if I wish for exactly 1 yen worth, it looks like I can buy about 2.31 meters.

This is a great deal, buying by the yen amount rather than by the meter!

Where should I put the 5 yen worth of string? I can’t think of a good place. Since I plan to tie the string I put out here and there, I might as well bring it out already tied.

Ah, this is the same as trickling hot water. I need to concentrate. But that’s impossible. My concentration breaks, and the string comes out with the end caught on the place I wanted to tie it.

I tie the string and hang the laundry. I want some clothe pegs, but maybe I’ll just leave it as it is.

I’m slowly starting to understand the specs of the 1,000 yen repeat. There are still many mysteries though.

Depending on how I use it, it could be very dangerous. If I put gas or gasoline from a distance, then as long as I have a spark, I could do an explosive attack, right?
