Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 267: It’s a Date (Primula’s Chapter)

Afterward, they left the tavern, paying a rather generous sum before doing so.

Fights were an everyday occurrence in places like that. Although the fact that Viola had set fire to that strange woman’s hair had been an issue, no one had suffered any serious injuries, so the matter was overlooked.

The woman had wailed and caused a scene, but even if she reported it to the military police, it was unlikely that Viola would be punished.

Noble and commoner. The gap in status in a feudal society was just that vast.

It wasn’t as though they intended to flaunt their power… but the woman had tried to lay hands on Rest, a count, without permission. Getting her hair burned was a light enough consequence.

“Well then, I’ll be counting on you.”

“And I on you.”

The day after his date with Viola, Rest was now heading out on a date with Primula.

Linking arms with her, Rest headed out into the city.

“So… where are you taking me today?”

The destination had been Primula’s choice.

She apparently had somewhere she wanted to go with him.

“You’ll see soon enough. It’ll be a surprise once we get there.”

With a playful smile, Primula walked with a cheerful spring in her step.

Usually, Primula had a quiet and reserved personality, often overshadowed by her older sister… but seeing her like this, she looked every bit the part of a normal girl her age.

“This place is…?”

After about ten minutes of walking, he realized she had brought him somewhere familiar.

The Royal Museum.

A place where art and historical treasures managed by the Iwood royal family were put on display.

Rest had known about the museum, but this was his first time actually visiting it.

“They’re holding a special exhibition here today. Usually, the items are kept hidden — national treasures and magic items — but they’re open to the public for a limited time. I really wanted to see it with you, Rest-sama.”

“I see… Magic items, huh? That sounds interesting.”

The Royal Museum stored and displayed rare artifacts, and to prevent theft or damage, entry was restricted to select individuals.

As a member of the Rosemary Marquis family, Primula had no trouble entering, and neither did Rest, being a count.

The elegant white, three-story building had a few visitors coming and going, all of them well-dressed gentlemen and ladies.

Rest and Primula showed their identification at the entrance, just like the others, and were allowed inside.

“Whoa…”

“Wow…!”

The moment they stepped inside, both of them couldn’t help but let out voices of awe.

Standing in the grand entrance hall was an enormous stuffed specimen.

It was a dragon, covered in shimmering blue scales.

“Could this be… the ‘Blue Lightning Dragon of Bearwolf Iwood’?”

“Yes, that’s right. I’d heard the stories, but to think it was on display too… this is amazing.”

The Blue Lightning Dragon of Bearwolf Iwood was the dragon said to have been defeated by Bearwolf Aiwood, the younger brother of the first king.

Bearwolf, one of the founding king’s most trusted generals known as the “Five Dragon Generals,” had battled the dragon for seven days and nights before finally slaying it, and the capital had been established on that very site.

“This specimen is a national treasure. It’s usually never displayed, except during special ceremonies or exhibitions. The Blue Lightning Dragon, as the name suggests, could control lightning. It’s said that a single blast of its breath could wipe out hundreds of soldiers in one shot…”

“O-Oh…”

“Actually, there was a time when one of this dragon’s descendants attacked the capital in an attempt to reclaim the specimen, but back then the Knight Commander and the Court Mage Chief…”

Primula happily explained, her eyes sparkling as she looked up at the dragon.

She had always been the studious type, fond of reading, but it seemed she was quite the intellectual at heart.

“I see… That was a fascinating story, but maybe we should save the deep dive for later.”

“A-ah, I’m sorry. I got a little carried away…”

Realizing the difference in enthusiasm between them, Primula blushed bright red.

She shyly cupped her cheeks with both hands and lowered her gaze.

“No, it’s been educational. I’d be glad if you could tell me more.”

It was an honest thought.

In fact, seeing Primula so passionately absorbed in her explanations was rather enjoyable.

Some might find such enthusiasm overwhelming, but when a beautiful girl talks about something she loves, it just comes off as charming. Life is unfair like that.

“R-Really?”

“But, if we stay at the entrance too long, we’ll block the way for others. Let’s move on for now.”

“Y-Yes, you’re right… I’m sorry.”

“Alright, let’s go.”

Linking arms with Primula once more, Rest guided her forward, following the route through the museum.
