The Sea Serpent had been slain.
Hovering in the air, Rest looked down to assess the aftermath. The pearl farm was half-destroyed.

The protective barrier Rest had placed around the village beforehand had minimized the effects of Storm God Susanoo, reducing them to nothing more than strong winds.
“Rest-san, are you unharmed?”

The voices calling out from below belonged to Celestine Crocus and several villagers.
Rest descended and addressed them.
“Yeah, it’s over. The Sea Serpent is dead.”
“I see… That’s a relief.”
Celestine let out a sigh of relief.
Although she was a mage, she had been waiting in the nearby woods, prepared to jump in if necessary.
It was fortunate that the battle ended without needing her intervention, as she lacked combat experience.
“And… I’m sorry. The pearl farm ended up like that.”
Rest turned to the villagers and bowed his head.
“I’ll cover the damages. Please forgive me.”
“No, my lord, you don’t need to apologize. You saved our village!”
The village representative hurriedly shook his hands in protest.
In his arms, he carried a large wooden tub filled with seawater—and something else inside.
“The shells are safe, see? The pearl farm hadn’t fully taken off yet anyway. We’ll recover soon enough.”
Before the battle, the villagers had retrieved the shells, knowing the farm would be used as a decoy.
While the facility itself was heavily damaged, it could be rebuilt with enough time and money.
“If it’s repair costs we’re worried about, selling the Sea Serpent might cover them.”
Celestine pointed to the dragon’s corpse floating in the sea.
The serpent, its body torn in half from the air explosion, drifted lifelessly among scattered blood and organs.
“Sea Serpents are a type of lesser dragon. Their scales, meat, and even the blood—though much of it has been lost—fetch a high price. Let’s collect what we can and sell it to the merchants.”
“Yeah, that sounds like a good plan.”
Rest used magic to pull the Sea Serpent’s remains closer to shore. Then, he cast an ice spell, freezing it to prevent decay.
“That should do it.”
“I’ll arrange for the sale. Is that alright?”
“Of course. I’m counting on you.”
Celestine truly had a knack for handling these matters.
Thanks to her, many troublesome tasks were being taken care of effortlessly.
(Celestine is supposed to be one of my potential wives… If she stays with me, managing my wealth will be so much easier…)

Perhaps drawn by the scent of blood, a group of Unicorn Sharks had gathered near the pearl farm.
They were blocked by the earth walls Rest had created to prevent the serpent’s escape, growling in frustration.
