Chapter 213: Individual Training

“Let’s see… the length of the blade is this, the weight is this, the thickness is this, the grip is this length, this thickness… and the left hand is …….”

After spending about three hours, I was finally able to choose the shape I liked for both hands. I could have chosen by feel, but I had to check each one carefully, so it took me quite a while.

“I’ve got it! I’ll hit you with a few dozen that are close to your request in the near future, so just wait and see!”

“Oh, oh…”

With that, the dwarves left the practice range with great vigor. The two dwarves who are different from the previous two who visited last time are said to be skilled blacksmiths who came here to beat me with my sword. Unlike last time, they have no intention to fight against the school, so they are not very good at combat.

“Zeros, you’ve worked hard.”

“Thanks, Elira, you’ve been a really good friend.”

“I just thought it would be better than being mixed in there.”

Elira said this when she saw the beasts moving around violently. Elira stayed by my side the whole time, watching me choose. Sophie also wanted to stay with me, but I asked her to stay with the beasts. She left me with a sigh, knowing that this was a welcome party and that we were the ones who were going to entertain them.

“Why don’t you make a rapier?”

“I don’t want to go through all that trouble to get a new one. We’re going to have a mock battle.”

“Mock battle?”

“That’s right.”

“Alright.”

Elira’s original fighting style seems to be magical warfare with spirit descent. The rapier was used because when she hadn’t used the descent of the spirit yet, there were times when she had to get into close combat.

By the way, the beasts had been having a mock battle for three hours while I was choosing a sword, changing opponents. I was invited to join them several times, but I refused because I hadn’t chosen a sword.

“The rules are: only spirit magic, no enchantments and no lightning. Of course, if it’s by spirit descent, fine. And no weapons, but physical magic is allowed.”

“Eh? That’s too much of a disadvantage for me.”

“I was just helping you with your sword. Then let’s go. The spirit descend.”

“Hey! Listen to me! The  spirit Zeal descend!”

Thus began the almost forced mock battle. As a result, I managed to win.

“Zeros! I’m next!”

“After my brother, it’s me, please!”

“Well then, next is me…”

“Oh, Okay.”

After the mock battle with Elira, they found out I was done with my business, and I had to have a mock battle for almost the rest of the day without a break. I didn’t care how many times we had to do it, as it was good training for me, but I wanted at least a break. For better or worse, Claudia would heal my physical strength. So I could fight on and on.

“See you tomorrow!”

“Thanks for today!”

“Thank you very much.”

“Yeah, see you tomorrow.”

And as the sun set, Bequa and the others left. And soon after, Elira left too. By the way, they rented out a place that looked like a luxury inn and stayed there.

“Then, we should go home too.”

“Eh? What about the restoration?”

“Tomorrow is fine.”

The practice field has a lot of crater-like marks, mainly because of mine and Bequa’s rampage. But it’s a hassle to fix them. Because it will be like this tomorrow anyway…. And most of all, I’m tired, so I want to go home and get some rest.

“Shana, Claudia, see you tomorrow.”

“See you both tomorrow.”

“Nn.”

“Thank you for today.”

After that, Sophie and I headed home.

———————————————————–

“All right! Let’s do it!”

“Zero-kun! Good luck!”

“Yeah!”

And midnight was my personal training time. Thanks to the fact that Sophie and I flirted within the limits of siblings, I recovered from my mental fatigue. Besides, thanks to my title of insomnia, I can operate on little sleep. In case you are wondering, I‘ve been doing this personal training every day since I came back to the capital. Of course, when I had to study for exams, I asked her to reduce the amount of time I spent on it.

“Then, first of all, you need to sense the location of Zeal.”

“Hmm…”

I’m currently training to do that infinite supply of magical power on my own. The way to do this is to have Zeal go to the spirit world, sense his location, and try to somehow get the magic power from there.

Incidentally, I seem to be the only one who can do this. Because normally, you can only make a contract with one spirit. If that one spirit plays the same role as Zeal, when too much magic power is taken out, the magic power will go out of control and in the worst case, you will self-destruct.

“Too much is taken in.”

“Yes…”

I’m holding hands with Yug. Yug is absorbing all the magic power that I have taken out of my body. Thanks to that, I don’t have to blow myself up. And even if I go with a full load of magic power, I’ll be fine.

Incidentally, the usual way to do this is to first have them go to the spirit world and learn the location, just as Zeal did. Then I hold hands with the spirit that came back and do my best to take out the magic power while looking for the location of the spirit world.

“I wonder if it’s a little less this time.”

“Hmm…”

Now I am about to take out exactly 100 magic power. I want to be able to constantly supply magic power according to the amount that decreases because my magic power is constantly decreasing due to enchantments and so on.

“That’s good. Next is 130.”

“Okay.”

That’s why I’m training to be able to make fine adjustments like this.

“Then I’m going to ask Zeal to come back.”

“Oh, oh…”

At the end of the training, I had to find the location of the spirit world and bring back magic power without Zeal. This is very difficult.

“Gugu ……”

“Too much. And irregular.”

“Hmmm…”

“That’s right, keep going like that.”

This is training for me to use both the zeal and the Yug at the same time while I supply the magic. To be honest, it’ll be a long time before I can do that. But that doesn’t mean I want to put this off.

“Well, that’s all for today, then.”

“I understand…”

And then I fell asleep as if I collapsed.
