Chapter 429: No Comment

Dinner was somehow finished without incident, and now we were just waiting for our turn to take a bath. As I was feeling drained in the salon, Nero quietly whispered to me.

“Julius-sama, you even used wind magic? When did that happen?”

“No, well, I thought it might slow me down if my clothes got wet. And it would be troublesome if I caught a cold.”

Nero nodded once, as if understanding. It seemed she was satisfied with my explanation. Fabienne seemed to have an idea about it as well, so maybe I don’t need to say anything more? For a brief moment, I thought that, but…

“How about we all take a bath together today? If we wear the swimsuits Julius made for us, it should be fine, right?”

“That’s a good idea.”

Axel immediately agreed with Carol’s suggestion. Their smooth conversation made me wonder if they had practiced this. I had intended to take a bath alone and relax since I didn’t want to discuss the earlier topic, but…

“Yeah, since we have the swimsuits, let’s all take a bath together.”

Once everyone brought their swimsuits from their rooms, it was time for our turn in the bath. When we arrived at the Marquis Mulan family’s splendid bath, we immediately set up a partition in the middle of the changing room. From beyond the partition, I could hear Fabienne and Carol talking.

On our side, however, there was a slightly awkward atmosphere.

See? Mira’s calling you suspicious. Axel, his face red, was desperately putting on swim trunks. We quickly followed suit and put on our own trunks. Isidore’s face also turned red as if imagining something. I wanted to pinch that suspicious face of his.

Having finished changing before the women, we used the newly installed magic tool shower to wash ourselves.

“Magic tools for showers are really convenient, aren’t they? It makes such a big difference whether you have one or not.”

While washing his hair, Axel said this with a deep sense of appreciation. Isidore, washing his body next to him, kept nodding in agreement. “I thought it would be more widespread, but it seems like it’s still not very common outside of the Heine Frontier Lord’s territory.”

“Well, it’s Julius’ hometown, after all. Various convenient magic tools should spread quickly there.”

“If anything, they’re probably more widespread there than in the royal capital.”

It’s probably true. But I wonder if that would become a problem? It’s starting to make me curious. While I was thinking about that, the women arrived. Since it was a bikini-type, it was even more revealing than when we had the water bath in the garden last time.

Axel’s mouth was left hanging open in shock. Isidore’s eyes widened, and he held his mouth with both hands. I had gotten used to it by now, so I wasn’t that shocked, but when I first bathed with Fabienne, I ended up looking just like them.

“Both of you, staring like that is really rude.”

“Y-yeah, you’re right.”

“I-I’m sorry.”

The two of them turned forward. In the meantime, Nero washed the soap off their bodies. Once they were done, they headed toward the bath. Instead of them, Fabienne came over to sit beside me. Yep, she’s big. Carol sat beside Fabienne. As for this… no comment.

“Is it just Mira left to wash?”

“Yep. Feel free to use the shower magic tool as you like. It’ll probably take a while.”

Saying that, I scrubbed Mira’s body with a little bit of a rough wash. She seemed calm, probably because it felt good, but with all that fur, it was hard work to wash her. I was glad I had shaved her beforehand. Fabienne and Carol were getting their bodies washed by the servants.

I would have liked to wash them myself, but it seemed like that would be inappropriate.

After we finished washing, we all got into the bath together. As expected of a marquis family’s bath, even with everyone in it, there was still plenty of space.

“Somehow, it feels strange to bathe together like this.”

“Hehe, in the Heine Frontier Count’s household, this is a normal sight.”

“Is that so? I envy you.”

Carol and Fabienne were chatting happily. Watching that, the men were huddled up slightly. Axel seemed curious, occasionally glancing over at the women, while Isidore looked like he thought he shouldn’t be looking, seeming uncomfortable. He glanced at me with a slightly intense look.

“I didn’t hear there was such a swimsuit.”

“That swimsuit you wore in the garden doesn’t let you wash your body properly, right? This one is designed to make it easier to wash your body.”

“It’s basically underwear, isn’t it?”

“It’s fine. It’s underwear that doesn’t show through.”

The color isn’t white either, but a cool blue. Just looking at it made me feel refreshed. The two who weren’t used to it seemed troubled about where to look. They were so innocent. I’ll just look boldly.
