Chapter 259: Washing Machine

　While I was trembling in fear at Big Brother Alex’s unfathomable intentions, the conversation continued.

Rosalia-chan, what kind of magic tool is this washing machine?”

　Sister-in-law Daniella, soaking in the bathtub, tilted her head with her index finger on her chin. Rosalia, with a proud look on her face, turned her foam-covered body towards me. I hope sister-in-law Meeka doesn’t pour hot water on Rosalia.

“The washing machine magic tool is a magic tool that cleans your dirty things with the push of a button. It dries them at the end, so there’s no need to hang out the laundry to dry. So it’s fine even on rainy days!”

　Rosalia spoke emphatically about it. It was quite good marketing. However, the members here don’t do their own laundry. So I thought that the amazingness of it wouldn’t be conveyed very well…

“That’s amazing!　I can’t believe you created such a useful magical tool. I’m sure my friends at school will be happy. It was a pain to wash dirty clothes, and during the rainy season, the clothes don’t dry at all, and you can’t use magic inside your room.”

“These are magical tools that we would love to have in the training hall at the Academy. Julius, Rosalia, could you make some for me?　Of course, I will pay for them.”

“I’d like to have one made for me, too.”

　Brother Cain and sister-in-law Meeka were very keen. I see, because their clothes would get dirty from their swordsmanship training. When the sweaty season comes, they will have to change their underwear more frequently. If that happens, there will be more and more things to wash.

“Julius-chan……”

　Sister-in-law Mika was so overwhelmed with emotion that she tried to jump on me, but brother Cain jumped out of the bathtub just in time to stop her. Dangerous, dangerous. In that state, the towel would have fallen off for sure.

“Of course. It’s already completed. We’ve done many test runs and fixed what didn’t work, so I’m sure it will work this time!”

　After letting the other three people and one animal get out of the bath first, the three of us sat shoulder to shoulder in the tub.

“I’m your youngest brother.　 how could I say such a thing?”

“Cain is Cain, too. Why didn’t you stop it?”

“That’s because, well, it was difficult to say.”

　When the bath time was over, Sister-in-law Daniella said, “Let’s all take a bath together again.” It seemed that she had really enjoyed “taking a bath with the family.” Rosalia and Sister-in-law Meeka immediately jumped on the bandwagon.

　Even  brother Alex’s couldn’t  resist their enthusiasm, and he gave his permission. The three of them happily got out of the bath with Mira in their arms.

　In doing so, the three of us guys saw something we shouldn’t have seen and continued to escape into the bathtub. That’s what happens when you look up while in the bathtub. I’ll be more careful next time.

　After we got out of the bath, we headed for the salon, where we found the washing machine magic tool already prepared. In addition to Rosalia and my sisters-in-law, there were other servants in the room. It seemed like they were planning to take a look around with us.

　Sister-in-law Meeka stares at the washing machine curiously. I guess that’s the case for people who are seeing it for the first time. Using a washboard, stepping on it with your feet, or rubbing it with your hands are the mainstream nowadays. I’m sure no one has ever thought about using a rotating drum and water flow to wash clothes. I wouldn’t have even thought about making one if I didn’t have a basic knowledge of modern home appliances.

“Well, let’s try washing something. I just need a dirty handkerchief or towel or anything.”

“ Julius-sama, over here.”

　Nero handed me a slightly dirty handkerchief. As expected from Nero. Unfortunately, liquid detergent doesn’t exist in this world yet, so I have to cut the soap into small pieces and dissolve it in hot water.

　Oh shoot. I should have developed a liquid detergent as well. I’ll make liquid detergent as one of the magic potions later. I’m sure there were some recipes for liquid detergent in the game. It was mainly an item to restore the color of dyed equipment.

　After preparing the simple liquid detergent, I finally activated the magical tool of the washing machine. Show them what you can do!
