Chapter 232: The evening Party Begins

“Isn’t this the first time us three brothers have taken a bath together?”

“I think it might be. At least not that I remember.”

“I’ve taken a bath with brother Alex a few times, but I think this is my first time taking a bath with Julius.”

　The three of us are currently taking a bath together. I invited Axel and Ijidol to join me, but they refused. Whatever it is, the three of us, including Nero, are going to take a bath together. I feel like he’s being left out and that makes me sad. Don’t hesitate to join us., …… well, it would have been impossible. I’d refuse too if I it was the other way around. 

　The three of us taking a bath together is nothing else. The reason is to prevent  sister-in-law Meeka from taking a bath with me.

“Meeka has me stumped. She’s the youngest in the Viscount Raniemi family. I’ve been told several times that she wants a little brother or sister.”

“In that case, she would be happy to go back to the territory, because Rosalia would be there.”

“I’m sure she will. I’m happy for you though, Julius.”

　Brother Cain looked at me reproachfully. I could only reply with a dry laugh, “Ahaha.” Jealous of your brother, how small-minded could you be. See, brother Alex is laughing at you.

“Maybe it’s because women have maternal instincts, or maybe it’s because they like little brothers. Daniela-sama also seems to want to get to know Julius better.”

“Isn’t that because I can make magic potions?”

“Ummm, for that matter, she wants to take a bath with you.”

“Why!?”

　I don’t understand anymore. Why do my sisters-in-law want to take a bath with me? Is she a shotacon? She might be a shotacon. Sure, if you look at it calmly and objectively, I’m a beautiful boy. Maybe she’s after me!

“Julius, you have to get yourself in a proper position. Look, you’re shaking.”

“Is that so?”

“I envy you, Julius.”

“is that so?”

　Even brother Alex seems to be relaxing in the bath. He looks somewhat relaxed. It would be safe to check now.

“Brother Cain, you really won’t attend the soiree, do you? Why is that?”

“Oh, because it’s at night. I have regular classes at the academy the day after, and besides, I’m in the middle of a training period for a sword competition.”

“I see. Then that means that the elementary strength recovery potion you took today was pretty good.”

　Brother Cain nodded deeply. Maybe he wants to offer it to other friends as well. I have to hammer this point home.

“Just to be clear, I can’t make that much. We’ve been asked to present it to the royal family.”

“I-I know.”

　He turned his face away, looking like, “How did he find out?” With this cheat drug, he would surely be able to speed up his swordsmanship practice. That would certainly be unfair. Then wouldn’t it be bad to give it to brother Cain and sister-in-law Meeka?　But I can’t say I won’t give it to them now.

“Brother Cain, please limit how much elementary strength recovery potion you take to one bottle a day. This is how it’s been decided in the Knights order. I plan to have the royal family do the same.”

“Is that so?　Then I guess it can’t be helped.”

　I should make a firm proviso about this. It’s really a problem if you drink several bottles a day. It’s not supposed to be addictive, but the exhilarating feeling seems to be addictive. It is also very popular among the Knights.

“What are you planning to do tomorrow, Cain?”

　Now that I think about it, the school is closed tomorrow. That’s why the both of them are going to stay together at the townhouse today. Maybe they’re planning on going on a date? tee hee hee.

“That’s the thing, tomorrow I’m going to have a bout with Julius …….”

“I’m sorry, brother. Tomorrow I have to go to the royal castle and make the magic potion you asked me to make, so it will be difficult.”

“Oh no.”

　Brother Cain’s shoulders slump with disappointment. I’m sorry, but I have no intention of making any arrangements with you. There was no way I was going to do something that might leave a bad taste in my mouth later on.

　Brother Alex seemed to think so, too, and did not say anything in particular. If I had to do something like that, I’m sure he would have said something like, “he can’t do it because he has to attend a an etiquette class.”

　A few days after the tea party, the day of the evening party finally arrived. The venue was a dance hall in a remote part of the royal castle. The fact that the duke is able to rent the facilities of the royal castle suggests that he is quite powerful. Perhaps the reason Daniela-sama is able to attend the event is because it is held on the grounds of the royal castle.

“Everyone seems to be ready.”

　The four of us lined up in front of the townhouse. We were dressed in the same gorgeous costumes as at the tea party, but since we had recently spent every day wearing them, we were all used to it.

“It’s all right. There’s no need to be nervous now.”

“Julius-sama, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I am trembling inside.”

“It is true that I am more used to it now than I was at first, but I still feel uneasy.”

　Axel and Ijidol argue impatiently. They still look as if they are comfortable. The short manner training camp was not in vain. I have a feeling I’ll probably be turned down the second time though.

　A carriage with the Heine family crest painted on it stops in front of the entrance. It is the same carriage I always take when I go up to the castle.

　After calling out to the usual driver, I got into the carriage and set off as if I knew exactly what I was doing.

“you’re more adept to going to the royal castle than I am, Julius ”

“Ahahaha…… that’s because I’m already going to the royal castle every day for my job making magic potions.”

“Julius is also a good worker.”

　The older brother is smiling, but I’m afraid that I’m going to end up staying at the royal castle. I’m also teaching the royal Potion Masters  how to make elementary strength recovery potion, so I’m sure I’ll be relieved of my duties eventually.

　If there is a problem, it is, as I thought, that the royal court potions masters like the elementary physical strength recovery potion. They asked me why I didn’t teach them how to make it sooner.

　I couldn’t help but back away and apologize to them for their enthusiasm, which I don’t usually show. It wasn’t my fault, right?

　According to them, “If I had that magic potion, I could have worked all night every day to create the panacea.” I must have taught them a magic potion that I shouldn’t have. There is nothing I can do about it now, so I will make sure that they will follow the proviso. I hope they strictly adhere to it.
