Chapter 213: Talking about Nero

　Even After both their highnesses left, we continued our conversation in Miss Daniela’s private room. I wondered if it was okay to stay in such a place for so long, but then I remembered that I had stayed in  Chloe-sama’s room for a long time before. I hope it will be …… a good memory.

“Julius has been very supportive of the orphanage. Is there a reason?”

“Oh, is that so?”

　They are looking at me with smiles on their faces. Now would be a good time to talk about Nero. I straightened my posture and faced them. Perhaps sensing something, both of them naturally straightened up.

“Actually, there is someone I want under me.”

“That child is in the orphanage, right?”

“Yes.”

　I told him what had happened at the orphanage so far. Of course, brother Alex would have heard about it from the servants who were attached to me, but he wouldn’t know what I was thinking. 

　I made it especially clear to him that Nero is fast. And he is very insightful. Thoughtful, no doubt. And he took enough precautions after I asked him a bit.

　When older brother heard what I had to say, he said, “Hmmm,” crossed his arms, and closed his eyes. You’re not going to say no, are you? You don’t think it’s a bad idea to attach an orphanage to a child of a Margrave family, do you?

“I understand. I’ll ask father about this. You’ll want to take his sister Lelie with you, right?”

“Yes, I do. If possible…….”

　When I said that hesitantly, my brother gave me a firm nod. Next to me, Daniela-sama clapped her hands. The sound echoed very lightly throughout the room.

“That’s right. I’ll also write a letter to Margrave Heine. If that’s the case, we should be able to communicate more easily. Oh, and I will ask mother to write one as well.”

“No, that would be going a little too far, wouldn’t it?　I have a feeling that father will nag me when we return to the estate.”

　 Daniela-sama is laughing. No way, she’s teasing me again!?　But you know, I think  father’s stomach will be in trouble if he received a letter from Her Royal Highness the Queen.

　I’m sure that if brother Alex met Nero, he would immediately realize how good he is. In that case, though, I will have to be careful because I’m sure brother will want him.

　The time the three of us spent talking passed quickly. I wonder if time always passes like this when my brother meets with Daniela-sama. I envy him a little.

“Is Lelie-chan cute?”

“Huh?　Yes, that’s, well, yes.”

　I think she’s cute. She looks just like Nero, so that would mean that Nero is cute, too.

“It seems you are not after Lelie.”

“No, I’m not!”

“Then is there someone else your aiming for?　I’m a little worried because you haven’t mentioned anything about it. There is talk of someone else, though.”

　Why would my brother be so worried? If I had to, I would marry anyone, and I don’t think I have necessarily. While I was feeling a little upset, Daniela-sama gently patted me on the head.

“If you like someone, you should make your intentions clear. Sometimes it is too late.”

　Could she possibly be talking about Chloe-sama? Or maybe she is talking about herself.

　Children of noble families are merely political pawns for their parents. But they may be put into consideration in some cases. It is better to say it than not to say it.

“I’ll think about it …….”

　After that, I didn’t stay in the royal castle, but returned to the townhouse with my brother.  I thought about continuing with the ice room improvements, but I wasn’t really in the mood. Marriage. At ten years old, I sighed at the thought of having to think about such things already

“Welcome back, brother. Julius is back too.”

“Brother Cain?　What are you doing here?　What happened to school?”

“There’s no school tomorrow.”

“eh, but you don’t usually come home. ……”

“Julius-chan!”

“Meeka, sister -in-law …”

　Before I could finish all the words, I was crushed with a whimper. Drowning. Drowning in her tits!　I tapped them in a hurry, and she let me just see her face from between her cleavage. That’s it. She is doing this on purpose. Is it service?　Oh, Brother Cain has a scary smile on his face. It’s not my fault, probably.

“What’s wrong, Cain? I didn’t hear about you coming back.”

“I’m sorry. While I was talking with Meeka, we decided to thank Julius properly at the townhouse. ……”

“So you came back all of a sudden. Well, it doesn’t matter when you come back because it’s the home of the Margrave Heine family, but did you send a word?　If it was that, we might have been able to round up and come back a little earlier.”

“Sorry.”

　Cain apologized apologetically. My sister-in-law Meeka bowed with him. I’m bent over also because of that. Let go of me.

“Well, that’s all right. I’ll forgive you this time, but be careful next time. We must not forget that we are nobles.”

“Yes, sir.”

　Brother Alex seems to want to be a model of nobility. I’m sure it’s also for Daniela-sama’s sake as well. Marriage among aristocrats is really difficult. Depending on the partner, you have to work even harder.

　We went to the salon. First of all, we were going to receive a thank-you. Personally, I don’t really think it’s anything to be thanked for, but it seems that’s not the case for the two of them.

　Maybe I’m in the “lifesaver” bracket. It’s only natural for me as a brother-in-law to help my sister-in-law.

　Oh, sister-in-law Meeka, you are moving in this state, aren’t you? Moving with me in your arms, you have more power than I thought. There is no way out of this logically. I’m being held tightly.
