Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 191 Don’t Ever Say this.

After finishing my magic training, I headed to the common room, which had become my daily routine when I arrived at the castle. There I found Axel, who had already secured a table. Axel noticed me and waved his hand.

“Oh, Julius, you’re here today. Did something happen yesterday?”

“Well, yes. I was supposed to supply some magic potion.”

I spoke as I sat down. The servant brought tea and sweets without me needing to tell them what to do. I took a break while eating them.

I wonder if the story of the sword saint candidateship that just came up will be conveyed to brother Alex through the servant. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.

“Someone got sick? Could it be an epidemic!?”

Ijidol was surprised, holding sweets in both hands. Ijidol, that’s what’s making you fat. No matter how much magic power you are consuming, please calm down a little.

“It could have been a lot worse. Apparently the epidemic can cause lung disease.”

“are they okay?”

“They’re fine. I gave them a magic potion I made, and they got well right away.”

“Fine right away?”

Both of them are surprised. There seems to be a recognition that lung disease is a serious illness. I have to ask them to be careful. Just to be sure, I told them again to be careful and to gargle thoroughly.

“That’s why the Royal Palace Magic Potion Division is also making magic potions, so there won’t be any chaos in the royal capital.”

“Then there won’t be any more urgent calls from now on. I feel my body is getting sluggish because I didn’t have a chance to meet with you yesterday and today.”

“I don’t think it has to be me, do you?”

“The others are no match for me. That said, I don’t want to deal with Ovidio either. Well, he doesn’t want anything to do with me either, so I guess it’s mutual.”

It seems, Axel and Ovidio have a rivalry. Friendly competition is all well and good, but I just hope it doesn’t go too far. I’m on Axel’s side, but I hate this too. Not that it hurts or itches.

“I hang out with you now, Axel. My brother will be worried if I don’t go home.”

“You’re overprotective, Julius’ brother.”

“It’s not funny, Ijidol. And he’s not overprotective. He’s  just worried that I’ll do something.”

“Ah, sure.”

Ijidol agreed. Why do you agree with that? That’s the part you should deny. Is that what everyone thinks of me after all? I suddenly felt sooo tired.

“That’s right, I was thinking of giving you a new task, Axel. You can use light magic now, right?”

“I can. I can only use it for a few minutes, though.”

“That’s, it’s good enough.”

It seems that Axel’s magical power is increasing little by little.  In that case, let’s work on magic control at the same time.

“From today onwards, you will try to keep the brightness of that light constant. This will be practice for controlling magical power. And if you master magical power control, the amount of magical power you consume will also decrease.”

“Ah, that’s what the magic division commander said.”

Ijidol revels the origin. But that’s fine. If it doesn’t turn out that I discovered it, there won’t be any more rumors.

“Keeping the amount of light constant? That sounds difficult.”

Axel crosses his arms and ponders. Apparently, he has learned to use light magic, but the amount of light is not stable. Then he should be doing more and more of this training.

“Don’t worry, with your concentration, you can do it Axel. Once you can do that, I’ll teach you enhancement magic.”

“Enhancement magic?”

“What is that? I don’t know it “

This is bad, maybe it was a bad idea to tell them? But several people in the Knights’ order used it. Maybe they were using it unconsciously? I think that’s a great talent.

“Um, I guess it’s a magic that improves body movement. I think that’s the magic you need, Axel.”

“Enhancement magic ……, maybe that’s what the knight are using to get the amazing power they sometimes show?”

“I think so. It’s a magic that is used consciously.”

Poof, Axel’s face bloomed like a sunflower. Ijidol’s eyes widened as well.

If things continue as they are, it’s going to be bad. I had to quickly find out more about enhancement magic.

“Just to be clear, this is still a secret, okay? If you tell anyone about this, I won’t tell you anymore.”

“I know, I know. Ijidol, don’t ever speak of this.”

Ijidol looked at me, tightly covering his mouth and nodding his head. It seems that the earlier intimidation is still having an effect. …Was he that scared? I didn’t mean to threaten him that much.

A few days have passed since I threatened Ijidol. Since then, Axel seems to have been desperately practicing Light magic. The results of this practice seemed to be gradually appearing, and he was able to sustain a small amount of light long enough.

Of course, I’m also teaching him enhancement magic. The duration is still short, though.

Even though Ijidol and I were rejoicing at the result, my anxiety was growing steadily. Not about this. It was about the epidemic.

It had already spread considerably in the royal capital. Fortunately, they were able to cope with it because the cold medicine was effective. There is a magical Potions guild in the royal capital, and there are also a fair number of magic apothecaries living here.

The problem is the territorial capital. There are also magic potion masters in the capital, and I have them make magic potions through Miss Fabienne. I haven’t heard anything from brother Alex about the cold being prevalent in the territorial capital. However, I have heard that It is gradually spreading to the towns around the royal capital.

It is only a matter of time before it spreads to the capital. I want to return to the capital before that happens. In order to do so, I must teach the royal potion masters how to make the panacea.
