Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 172 Rumors of me walking alone.

The carriage on the way back was a regular carriage for aristocrats. Yesterday, the return trip was also in a carriage with the national emblem displayed, so naturally it must have attracted a lot of attention.

Rumors are already spreading. I managed to persuade the servants to change the carriage to prevent any more strange rumors from spreading.

When I arrived back at the townhouse safely, I told my brother Alex, who had already returned home.

It seemed like it was the first time he was hearing it, he was surprised.

“Is there already a rumor among the ladies? You really can’t be too careful. I had asked Miss Daniela to make as little fuss as possible.”

Seeing brother chuckling unintentionally, the rumors must have spread faster than he expected.

“If I can handle the formalities on my own, I think I will be able to go there in the family carriage.”

I looked at my brother to inquire, and he was thinking with his arms crossed. Is it really that difficult?

“I understand, Julius. I don’t think it’s going to happen right away, but we’ll figure it out. I also thought it would be bad if things continued like this. You’re a strong person, so I am sure you’ll be fine. I have faith in you. Anyways, did you get in any trouble today?”

“……”

That’s not what you just said! You say you believe in me, but then you ask me if I’m causing problems. Does this mean that you believe that I will cause trouble? What’s going on, brother?

After that, a servant was called in to discuss something in brother’s room.

What on earth did they talk about? I am curious. I would like to see that notebook before they report to my brother.

While eating dinner, we reflect on the events of the day. I wonder if this will become a daily routine. The dinner that was supposed to be delicious doesn’t seem to taste as good.

“Julius, is it true that the royal court magic potion masters tried to make a ‘blood pact’ with you?”

“Sniff!”

I blurt out. A servant rushes over with a towel. It’s true, but I didn’t force them to do it, okay? What in the world did they report?

I glanced at the servants, but none of them made eye contact with me. They seem to be aware of it.

After that, brother pointed out one thing after another, and I couldn’t remember what I had eaten for dinner that night at all. Then, he asked me to hold off the creation of the ice room. He said that he would first consult with Daniela-sama, and from there he would talk to His Majesty the King.

Hmm, I was only planning on making some minor modifications, but it looks like it’s going to be a big deal. Also, it looks like the letters from brother Alex to father is going to be thick, again.

After finishing dinner, which didn’t taste good at all, I retired to my room. I had no intention of having a solo reflection session, but I couldn’t help but move in that direction.

“Why does this always happen to me? Is it bad luck? Or am I at the mercy of fate?”

I mumbled as I plopped down on my desk. No one replied. There was no one else in the room but me. Maybe I am feeling a little sentimental.

“I wonder how everyone is doing at the estate. Why is it only me?”

Maybe I shouldn’t have told the State how to make the panacea? But it’s dangerous for me to be the only one who knows how to make the elixir. If this information were to leak out, I would be targeted. I would have to live in fear every day.

On the other hand, if the government knew how to make the elixir, the chances of me getting noticed will be much smaller. The state can claim that the method of making the elixir was discovered by the royal Potion Masters, and that it’s a state secret. It is unlikely to be leaked to the outside world. Unless the Royal Court Potions Masters betrays me.

It will eventually be discovered that I have been in and out of the rooms of the Royal Magic Potions Division. But still, even if they find out that I am the grandson of a high-ranking Potions Master, they will understand that they are nurturing a promising Potions Master from an early stage.

In fact, I am the one teaching them, but it’s hard to tell that from the outside. There shouldn’t be any problems.

Sooner or later, the royal potion masters will also be able to create the panacea. When that happens, the amount of attention paid to me will be less and less.

“Well, things will turn out the way they’re supposed to turn out!”

No reply. I just feel lonely. I knew I should have brought Mira with me. I think I’ll make a stuffed animal of her to comfort me.

As I finished breakfast and got ready to leave, a carriage bearing the national emblem arrived at the townhouse as if it had been timed. The timing was so perfect that I would like to propose the theory that I’m being watched somewhere.

Brother Alex had already left for the school. He held himself back, worried about me, but I couldn’t afford to get into trouble so many times. I told my brother, “Please believe me,” and managed to send him off. I’m tired from this morning.

I get into the carriage and head for the royal castle, but it attracts a lot of attention. Thick curtains cover the windows so they won’t be able to see me, but when I look through the gaps in the curtains, everyone is paying attention.

I feel uncomfortable. I can’t wait for when I’ll be able to ride the family carriage to the castle.

When I got off the carriage at the same place in the royal castle as yesterday, a few royal palace magic potion masters had came to pick me up, also in the same way. I really want them to stop, but if this is their show of loyalty I feel like I shouldn’t force them to stop.

Driven by an indescribable feeling, I headed for the room where all the royal court magic potion masters were waiting. I have to give them the bad news now, don’t I? I feel heavy.
