Even though they were older—or rather, because they were older—it was absolutely not appropriate to play an AV in front of one’s biological siblings.

“I truly apologize. It was an important moment, so I panicked. A-Anyway, if you insert this, you’ll be able to watch a video.”

Somehow managing to cover up my actions, I loaded the DVD.

The DVD player started up without any issues, and the monitor began playing the video.

“Oh, wow, the picture is actually playing. What is this? Where is this footage from?”

“This is called a movie—a story recorded as a video. If you watch the whole thing, it’ll take about two hours, so I’d prefer you to watch the rest at another time, but…”

Even as I said that, the two of them were huddled together, completely engrossed in the screen.

I had heard they didn’t get along, but judging by this scene, that didn’t seem to be the case at all.

They looked quite close, and I almost felt like letting them keep watching…

However, since the movie was part of the negotiation, I turned off the DVD player.

“Hey! What are you doing?”

“I still wanted to watch! What kind of technology is this!?”

“Apologies, but this is as far as it goes. If you liked it, would you be willing to build a house in exchange for this machine?”

Judging by how frustrated they were when I turned it off, their reaction was better than expected.

Although the AV was supposed to be the real ace in the hole, it seemed possible that the deal could be closed with just a regular movie.

“If you’re giving me this… I might be willing to build a house.”

“I see! You prepared something that even money can’t buy for money-hungry Sid, huh? No wonder you get along well with Sheila!”

“Then, shall we consider the deal sealed?”

“…Damn, I feel like I’m playing right into your hands, but fine. By the way, where do you want this house built?”

“About a 30-minute carriage ride from the royal capital.”

“Not in the capital, huh? …Well, that’s still within an acceptable range.”

It seemed like the deal was done.

I hadn’t even used my secret weapon, but what was the best move here?

Should I give them a glimpse of it to push their enthusiasm even further?

“Hmm? Sato, you don’t look very happy! Is something bothering you?”

“Well, I was just thinking about something…”

“Hey, no backing out now. We’ve already sealed the deal.”

“…I’ve decided. Sid, could you come over here for a moment?”

Since holding onto it wouldn’t do me any good, I decided to use it as a bargaining chip.

There was no point in keeping it to myself after buying it.

Apologizing to Rozzo in my mind, I took Sid to a small back room of the shop.

Here, we could discuss adult videos freely.

“Why’d you drag me here all of a sudden? Is there something you don’t want Rozzo to know about?”

I loaded the Adult Video into the DVD player and hit play.

And he was offering to build five houses… way beyond expectations.

“However, there’s one thing to keep in mind. The playtime limit is six hours per use. After that, you’ll need to bring it to me for recharging. Is that alright?”

“Only six hours, huh…? But as long as I recharge it, I can use it for another six hours?”

“Yes. As long as you recharge it, it will work again.”

“A 30-minute carriage ride, right? That’s no problem at all. …By the way, does this charging cost anything?”

“No, I won’t charge you for that.”

“You’re seriously generous! Alright, I’m fired up! I’ll get started right away, so tell me the exact location!”

“Understood. I’ll share the details later.”

With this, the negotiation was completely sealed.

I had used up quite a bit of NP, but considering I was getting houses built, it was a bargain.

Even considering the 30-times price increase of items in another world, I had only spent 20,000 NP—about 2 million yen—for five houses.

Of that, 15,000 NP was for the generator, which I still owned, so my actual expenditure was just 5,000 NP.

Thanks to Donnie’s advice, I had pulled off a great negotiation.

I had secured a buyer for my crops and found a carpenter.

Although I had been full of anxiety before departing, now I had some great results to report to Sheila.
