Chapter 10: Witch’s Training ②

Munieka handed me a small vial.

“What’s this?”
“A sensory enhancer.”
“?”
“The Witch instructed me to have you drink it.”
“Understood.”

I drank it right away.
It tasted like those nutritional drinks from my previous life. I used to drink them a lot back then.

For now, nothing in particular seemed to be happening to my body.

“Now then, you will fight Shardina.”
“Understood. …Shardina?”
“That is her name.”
“I see.”
“However, you may only use [Silent Move]. Defeat Shardina with [Silent Move].”
“Got it.”

I input the action command into [Silent Move].
Defeat Shardina. Good. It went through.

“Then, begin.”
“Yes.”

I activated it—and immediately lost consciousness.

When I awoke, I was lying on the ground, with Munieka’s face leaning over my chest, gazing down at me.

“Master, your usage frequency is far too low.”

That was the first thing she said to me upon waking.

My body wouldn’t move. My arms and legs felt strange.

It seemed I had defeated Shardina, though… there was no corpse.
Only a single blue horn lay on the ground, dripping with red blood.

Ugh, that’s gruesome.

“E-Even if you say that…”

By the way, Munieka currently had her head resting on my chest.
Which meant… she was lying down beside me.

“……”

Her exquisitely beautiful face was close enough that I could hear her breathing.
The Witch was like this too, but why are they all so impossibly beautiful, flawless from every angle?

So flawless, so perfect, without a single blemish or flaw.

Munieka took something out. A small vial of elixir.

She said the Witch had entrusted her with this as well, and pressed it to my lips to make me drink.
Honestly, if I wanted more of this stuff, I’d gladly hand over eggs for it.

My body rapidly recovered. Munieka then stood up—
But strangely, she did so using only her legs, without her hands.
…How?

“Next, you will fight Anna Kreuzen.”
“Um, why did you have your head on my chest just now?”
“Because I wanted to. There was no particular reason.”

She said it so plainly that I didn’t even know how to respond.

“Can you stop giving the Minos Dolls names?”
“Why is that?”
“It makes it harder to fight them.”

They had women’s bodies and names, which honestly made things awkward.

Munieka tilted her head, then her eyes grew moist. …Why?

“You feel attached to them?”
“Uh… well… yes, when you put it that way…”

It was also because they looked so cute and beautiful.

“As I mentioned earlier, all Minos Dolls are based on myself. The reason is simply that no better base template was available. The Minos Dolls are modeled to cover from my childhood form up to slightly older than I am now. Master may summon whichever Minos Doll you like at any time for training.”
“The way you say that! And why even prepare something like that in the first place!?”
“I was considering creating an intelligence and assassination-focused maid ninja unit.”
“That’s nothing but ominous words strung together!”
“If something can be done, why not make use of it?”
“…Well, when you put it that way…”

That lab really could make anything.
If misused, it could probably end the world.

Well, Haiyaan wouldn’t do something like that, though. I could tell. Somehow I just knew.

“So then, Master. How long do you plan to keep lying down?”
“Ah, sorry.”

I hurried to my feet.

Munieka summoned a new Minos Doll.
This one had braided hair and looked younger than the current Munieka.

“How nostalgic. This is the age I was when I became a Second-Class explorer.”
“Eh—how old was that?”
“Around fifteen. I became First-Class at twenty.”
“Amazing… B-But… could you also not do that kind of thing?”
“You grow attached?”
“W-Well… yes, a little…”

Though expressionless, Munieka looked as if she were greatly amused.

“Master, you are indecent.”
“Why!?”

Why!? She smirked at my shocked reaction.
Ahh, this woman… she’s absolutely toying with me.

Then suddenly, her expression changed.

“Master, you’re not angry, are you?”
“Eh?”
“You do realize I’m playing with you, don’t you?”

Ah, she just admitted it outright. I gave a wry smile.

“Well, if it makes you happy, then… you seem much happier now than when we first met.”
“I seem… happy?”
“Yes. That’s how it looks to me.”
“Or perhaps you’re just a masochist, Master?”
“I’m not!!”

What kind of thing to say to a kid!

“Fufu. Well then, now that your spirits are up—you’ll fight Victoria next.”

Wait, what about Anna Kreuzen?

Sigh… guess I’ll fight.

“…[Silent Move]…”

I defeated two more after that, and with that, today’s training session ended.

“Master, you use some interesting relics.”

“Ah, so it activated?”

“Yes. But rest assured, that too falls under Silent Move, so it doesn’t count as a violation.”

“Well… thanks, I guess.”

I’m exhausted.

Even though my stamina recovers, the mental fatigue lingers. Strange, really.

I pick up my backpack and head toward the nap room.

Leaving the living room, there’s a staircase to the left, with a door between it and the wall.

Originally, it was just a storage room, but after cleaning it out, I found a spare cot and brought it in—turning it into a nap room.

The reason I made a nap room in the first place was because I once saw a witch sound asleep, completely naked, right there in the hallway.

Also, the fact that I happened to find an unused bed was another reason.

For now, this nap room is my room. There are guest rooms, but they’re physically packed full.

…Suddenly, I wonder what Munieka-san is planning.

“Munieka-san, will you be commuting here?”

“No. I’m borrowing one of the guest rooms here.”

“Eh? The guest rooms… weren’t they packed?”

“They were. But I cleared one out.”

“Y-you were able to clear that disaster zone?”

“Yes. The unidentified life forms I discovered, I sold off to Chive.”

“Life forms…?”

What the heck? That’s news to me.

“So, I’ll be in your care from now on, Master.”

“R-right… thanks. By the way, what about the witch?”

“She said something about an absolutely unavoidable errand.”

“I see.”

…Where could she have gone?

Well, she’s a witch. Worrying about her is pointless.

I take my backpack and open the nap room door.

A small space, surrounded by stark white walls.

About half the size of my room.

A pure white tea table sits there. On the simple cot—someone is sleeping.

“Hm?”

What’s with this tea table?

No, more importantly—the blanket on the cot is slightly raised.

I carefully approach.

“…Bierui… Abuyado… Keo… Petit…”

“Eh?”

“…Keo… Abuyato… Pierui… Pieruii… Petit…”

A-asleep. Talking in her sleep? Anyway—it was Shiro-san, sleeping there.

Fast asleep? Really?

“…Bianco… Leukon… Putih… Keo… Pieruii…”

“……”

What kind of sleep-talking is that?
