“A request? If it’s something I can do, I’ll be happy to help. What is it?”
“Sorry to ask right away, but I need a recharge. The reason I came over today is that I completely ran out of battery.”
Sid handed over his DVD player, looking apologetic. Sure enough, it was out of charge and wouldn’t turn on.

“Would you mind waiting a bit? I didn’t expect you to come this soon, so I need to discuss it with my housemate first. Would you like to wait inside?”

“The carpenter I hired in the capital just arrived. He wants to know our preferences for the house.”
“He’s already here?! In that case, let’s step outside and discuss it properly.”
“Yes. Let’s quickly decide where and what to build, then inform him right away.”
Sheila and I went over the location and basic structure of the new house. Since we were making Sid wait, we rushed the discussion a bit—I regretted not preparing in advance.
But still, I never expected him to start work this soon. There wasn’t much I could do about the hasty planning now.
Besides, Sid was Rozzo’s brother. He’d manage somehow… probably.
After finalizing our decisions, I relayed them to Sid, and work began immediately.
We chose a location slightly away from the villa and farm, considering the possibility of future expansions.

Sid had brought three workers along, making a total crew of four.

In fact, the three workers with him didn’t look like carpenters at all—they were surprisingly slender.
