Chapter 245: Rescuing the Fishermen
The ship rocked violently amid the fierce waves. The cries of the fishermen overlapped in panic.
As Rest flew over the sea, he saw a massive shadow swimming leisurely beneath the floating fishing boats.
It was at least twenty meters long—comparable to a whale. Though he couldn’t see its full form, the shadow was long and slender, resembling a serpent.

A part of the monster emerged from the water.

The forceful waves caused the fishing boats to rock violently from side to side.

[Lghtning Cannon]—a bolt of lightning shot through the sea, striking the monster directly.

The monster shrieked in pain.
Abandoning its destruction, it dove back into the depths of the ocean.
“Ah…!”
Its shadow quickly disappeared.
Using [Presence Detection], Rest sensed it sinking deeper and deeper until its presence faded entirely.
It had retreated.
“…It got away.”

That thing had been playing with the fishermen, tormenting and toying with them.
