The carriage journey lasted half a day, and they finally arrived at their destination.

Urla murmured under her breath.
“We’ve prepared a place for you two to stay. You’ll start the wyrm subjugation tomorrow, is that acceptable?”
Her attendant clarified.
Rest thought Urla’s muttered words sounded ominous but wisely decided not to press further.
Rest and Yuri were taken to an inn in the settlement. It was a modest and simple place, not the kind of lodging nobles would usually use.

“…See you later.”
Urla added curtly before leaving with her attendant, leaving Rest and Yuri at the inn’s entrance.
“Shall we go in?”
“Ah, our first time spending the night alone together,”
Yuri teased with a grin.
“Don’t say it like that!”
Rest sighed. He had shared a room with Yuri before, but never without others around.
(Calm down… It’s an inn. No way we’ll share a single room. We’ll just have separate rooms.)
Trying to steady himself, Rest stepped into the inn.
“Welcome! You must be Count Clover, right? The young lady already reserved a room for you,”
The innkeeper greeted warmly.
They were promptly shown to their quarters—a twin room.
“Wait, this is…”
“Make yourselves comfortable,”
The innkeeper said, preparing to leave.
“Hold on! Is this the only room available?”
Rest exclaimed.
“It’s a two-person room, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Sorry, but we’re fully booked. Besides, there aren’t many inns in this settlement, so finding another room elsewhere will be tough. Your meals will be delivered later. Enjoy!”
With that, the innkeeper left, leaving Rest and Yuri alone.
“Spending the night with you, Rest… I don’t know why, but it’s kind of exciting,”
Yuri said with a soft chuckle, sitting on the bed.

Yuri panicked, rushing to his side.
“D-Don’t come near me dressed like that! Why are you undressing in front of me?!”

“Why? Well, we’re staying here tonight, aren’t we? I thought I’d change into my room clothes,”
Yuri replied, tilting her head innocently.
“Not in front of me! You’re a girl—have some decency!”
Rest shouted, his face burning red.
Rest couldn’t help but raise his voice, but Yuri merely tilted her head with a puzzled expression.
“There’s no need to worry. I wouldn’t undress in front of just anyone. But… you’re a friend, so it shouldn’t be a problem if you see me, right?”

Yuri replied, nodding as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Yuri offered casually, leaning closer.
