Just another Isekai Lover~

Chapter 3: Reincarnation③

It has already been two years since Hyde was reincarnated into another world.

The once helpless body of an infant had grown remarkably, and now he could walk around on his own.

Hyde was currently sitting at a desk in his recently assigned private room.

“This is bad, really bad…”

He muttered to himself as he stared at the stack of papers piled up before him.

These papers contained information about this world, carefully gathered over the past two years without alerting his family or servants.

Written in Japanese, deliberately scrawled in messy handwriting, they would likely appear to be nothing more than a child’s scribbles to the people of this world.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Hyde was born into the noble Rugen family, which, by this world’s standards, enjoyed a considerably affluent lifestyle.

The mansion had a library, and the books stored there made up the bulk of his gathered information.

Thanks to this, he had come to understand most aspects of this world.

…Including the extraordinary nature of the power granted to him.

“Well, I mean, just the names of these skills alone gave off a dangerous vibe…”

Hyde muttered as he picked up the hand mirror on the desk and looked into it.

Silky silver hair and clear blue eyes reminiscent of gemstones.

Even as a child, traces of a handsome young man could already be seen.

Then, on that face, glowing text appeared.

It was the appraisal information he had first witnessed right after reincarnating.

Once again, Hyde confirmed the skill names listed there and let out a deep sigh.

[Guidance of the Martial god], [Source of the Divine Spring], [All-Seeing god’s eye], [Clay Doll of the Divine Realm]

Hyde clung to the faint hope that these overly grandiose skill names might just be common in this world.

However, as the information he gathered continued to pile up, the harsh reality became increasingly undeniable.

What Hyde had understood about skills is as follows:

First, skills are something that everyone is born with.

Second, skills are easily inherited.

Third, there is individual variation in the age at which a person can use their skill, but generally, around the age of five, people become aware of their skills and are able to use them.

Fourth, using a skill consumes mana.

Mana is a life force that fills the body, and depending on the skill, the amount of mana consumed differs. Additionally, the total amount of mana a person possesses within their body also varies.

The reason Hyde felt a sense of power leaving his body right after his reincarnation was that he unknowingly used a skill, causing his internal mana to decrease.

And finally… most people only possess one or two skills, and at most three.

“First of all, this part is weird.”

Hyde, who was rereading the information written on paper, glanced back at the hand mirror.

…Four. No matter how many times he looked, there were four skills that Hyde possessed. It was clearly abnormal.

He thought to himself, “god, you’ve really gone too far,” to the point of repeatedly making that remark.

However, as long as it stopped here, there was still a way to reverse things.

If the skills were useless, then no matter how many he had, it wouldn’t take him farther from the ordinary, happy life Hyde desired.

But, things didn’t go that smoothly.

Hyde turned a page of the paper.

There, written down, were the abilities of his skills, which Hyde had personally identified… his own skills.

[Guidance of the War god]… Allows the user to foresee and execute the correct movements in all martial arts and physical techniques.

[Source of the Divine Spring]… Enables the user to handle mana endlessly.

[All-Seeing eye of god]… Possesses the abilities of appraisal and clairvoyance. There is nothing that cannot be seen with this eye.

[Clay Doll of the Divine Realm]… Can transform into anything and heal any wound.

“There’s no way around it, this is way too overpowered…”

It seemed that, just as the god had said at parting, he had been granted skills that could allow him to rule the pinnacle of the world. And four of them, at that.

Hyde slumped onto his desk, letting out an unintelligible groan, “Uuuuugh…”

“I just wanted to live a normal life and have a normal, happy life…”

His humility or whatever it was had been misunderstood, and he had unexpectedly caught the god’s favor.

As a result, he had gained powers he hadn’t wanted, and it wasn’t something to laugh about.

As he slumped forward, on the verge of tears, there was a knock on the door.

“Master Hyde, it’s time for your meal.”

“Y-yes…”

Hyde quickly stood up, straightening the stack of papers before rushing down the hallway toward the maid waiting outside.
